Zoo Fact

A male polar bear can be up to 11-feet-tall and weigh up to 1,400 pounds. The females weigh between 660 to 770 pounds.

Come visit Seneca Park Zoo

The Zoo is open all year long. Closed the first Saturday in June for Zoobilation, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

GATE HOURS

  • January 1 to March 31: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You may stay on grounds until 4 p.m.
  • April 1 to October 31: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You may stay on grounds until 5 p.m. (Zoo opens at 9:30 a.m. for our Zoo members.)
  • November 1 to December 31: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You may stay on grounds until 4 p.m.
